Floor hockey is an integral part of Holy Family parish, the young men are part of a brotherhood that teaches them leadership, sportsmanship, friendship, and “Manitou”, an Indian word meaning spirituality. They are very much part of our Sunday liturgy, they help Father Baxter serve Mass, run the audiovisuals and sit in their own special section.

Floor hockey has been a part of our parish since 1965 and continues to this day, fathers now bring and watch their sons play every Friday night.

The league is made up of 50 boys aged from 13 to 17 years old, divided among 4 teams along with about 15 volunteers. Initially, the boys that attended were from the neighborhood, now they come from all over Montreal and the surrounding area.
